Anna Barbaro was born in Matera, Italy, in 1993, and graduated from the local school of Arts.
After that, she decided to find herself through the photographic medium.
She decided to develop her photographic practice by studying at the "F. Project Photography School" in Bari, where she found her true vocation: telling stories with a documentary approach.
She is closely linked with the social topic on the environment, from the human condition and the relationship between humans and nature.
She's motivated by a spontaneous sensibility and curiosity about what lets people move all around. Her approach is slow and delicate, going through awareness, from the willingness to understand and then collaborate to improve the world where we are.
Since her strong commitment to improve her skills and awareness, she decided to attend many workshops with many international photoeditors and multi-award winning photographers such as Paolo Verzone, Tiziana Faraoni, Stefano Carini, Paul Lowe, Fiorenza Pinna, Stefano De Luigi, Daria Scolamacchia, and others.
Currently, she's working on her last new long-term project on environmental and territorial issues concerning Italy and Europe.
She has used documentary photography as a fundamental tool during her travels throughout Europe, making her photographs part of her visual diary.
